About Us -- Pohlschneider Nursery started in 2000 with an enthusiasm for the nursery industry and a pursuit to become a self sufficient family business. The nursery was built and planted on evenings and weekends with help from family and temporary workers. After five years of carrying a full time job on top of running the nursery the move was made to work on the nursery as well as on the family's farm full time. We started on a small scale to ensure we could provide the quality of plants we desire. Once we found success in growing and customer satisfaction, we continued to increase our quantities, varieties, and sizes. The nursery is located on family-owned farmland and now consists of 13 acres of field grown material, a propapation house, grafting house, 3 cold frames, and 1.5 acres of container yard. We also grow 100 acres of grass seed to help diversify. The nursery is run by Sam and Laura Pohlschneider and two full time employees in production.
