        Flowering Lawn

Join the Flowering Lawn Revolution! ... Flawn Seed flowering lawn seed kits
Flawn Seed Kits allow you to easily transform your grass lawn into a flowering lawn. Flawn Seed Kits are designed to grow well in full sun to shade, in most soils even if they are acidic. There's no need to remove your grass! You can spread seed in spring, summer, fall, or winter. What does a Flowering Lawn look like -- Flowering lawns can look different depending on how often and at what height they are mowed as well as what varieties you decide to add.

    One Minute Flowering Lawn Install
Flowering lawn transformation; how to create a flowering lawn with clover, self-heal, and creeping thyme. This DIY video walks you through a flowering lawn transformation. Adding low growing wildflowers to your lawn is easy and shown in detail with step by step instructions. Flowering "bee lawns" or "pollinator lawns" are a natural alternative to conventional grass lawns that attract pollinators, reduce lawn maintenance, reduce fertilizer and watering needs and create a safe place for kids, pets, and beneficial pollinators like butterflies and bees.

    • Step 1: Mow lawn as short as possible at 1-2" and remove large clumps of grass clippings or rake off to the side.
    • Step 2: Spread each seed packet separately by hand using about half of the seed walking one direction back and forth over the entire area and then use the other half of the seed walking a perpendicular direction back and forth so that you have fully and evenly spread the seed over the entire area.
    • Step 3: Lightly rake the area with either a metal hard tine rake or a leaf rake to scratch the soil surface and turn the seed into the soil to incorporate it and create good seed to soil contact. (If you raked the clippings off to the side before, you can spread those evenly back over the top of the seeded area now) Be sure to lightly water the area as needed 1-3 times per day for the first few weeks and then as needed through periods of heat and drought top prevent the seedlings from completely drying out. Also be sure to continue to maintain a mowing height of 3 inches for the first full year to prevent the existing grass from over-crowding the new seedlings.

Request a Free Measurement -- Not sure what size your lawn is or want only a portion of your lawn measured? Fill out our online form and we will email you your lawn size along with a screenshot of your property so you can confirm it is correct.
