Plantworks Nursery was founded in 1978, by Douglas Chapman. From the small origins of his backyard in North Carolina, Plantworks is now celebrating 40 years of Green Industry participation. Dana Massey purchased the nursery in 2017. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in Horticulture and a minor in Agriculture Business Management, Dana has been with Plantworks since 2009. Located in Rougemount, NC we now cover 20 acres of production space, with 169 greenhouses. Although we began as a groundcover supplier, we have expanded to specialize in everything from annuals, daylilies, ferns, herbs, hosta, ornamental grasses, perennials, tropicals, and vines. We ship throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia weekly & all along the East Coast as routes are built. We are a wholesale operation providing plants to the trade only.
