We are nurserymen; experienced horticulturalists dedicated to producing only the finest trees and shrubs. Over 800 acres and 500 varieties to be exact! Everything from the ground up: container shrubs, B & B shrubs, small and large caliper stock and specimen trees. We’ve spent decades perfecting the cultural practices that make Moon trees and shrubs the best in the business. Moon began operation in Yardley, Pennsylvania in 1971 under the ownership of Walt Flowers and began production at the current Chesapeake City, Maryland location under the leadership of John Pursell in 1989. Today, Moon Nurseries is an employee owned and operated company producing over 40,000 trees and 350,000 container plants a year from our Maryland nurseries.
